Netizens are particularly critical of the pure and difficult Urdu dialect employed in the web series, considering that ninety percent of the population in the depicted area, the famous red light district of old Lahore, predominantly spoke Punjabi. One social media user remarked, “I started watching the series but couldn’t continue for more than five minutes.” Another Pakistani commented, “No, we don’t speak like this in Pakistan.” Additionally, there is criticism towards the actors of Heeramandi who struggled with the pure Urdu dialect.
