Hassan Sheheryar Yasin has designed the clothes for renowned Pakistani and international celebrities. The designer is known for his love for Pakistani media industry. HSY has also successfully ventured into acting with a hit play and a popular film. Fans loved his acting in Pehli Si Muhabbat and Ishrat Made in China. Well, he’s soon going to appear in a telefilm alongside Mehwish Hayat.
Recently, HSY made an appearance on Public TV’s show “Public Demand,” hosted by Mohsin Abbas Haider. During the show, HSY couldn’t recognize aspiring Indian actress Urfi Javed and stated why he was not familiar with most of Indian celebrities including Urfi. HSY also asked about Urfi Javed from the host after which he was told about Urfi Javed.
HSY revealed the reason behind his limited knowledge regarding Bollywood celebrities. Talking about it, he said, “Surprisingly, I have a very limited knowledge about Indian film industry. I think we should give them the same attention which they give to us, like they rarely know about us, so, we should do the same, we should not give them more importance. I concentrate on my Pakistani industry more”.
He further said, “There was the time when our artists used to work there and their artists used to work here, also, I am not talking about people but their current set up or government policies do not support the art and culture exchange, they don’t want to work with Pakistanis. I have a problem with their statement that no Pakistani actors will be working in India. I didn’t like it, If you will give respect, you will get it back”.
