Talking about it, Hina said, “We were neighbours; my grandfather and Ali’s father were friends. We were familiar with each other by names, but we didn’t know each other that well. Our families weren’t involved. Then I first saw him at the university where he was working. Before that, we had never had a one on one conversation—he was a faculty member in the university so we didn’t didn’t get a chance to talk. After Ali left the job, we connected as student and teacher. I started having issues with one of my subjects which I couldn’t’t pass. So! I was worried about who would teach me. My mother advised me to ask Ali for help, and after that he started teaching me and later we got married.
