Hina Javed is the latest victim of femicide in Pakistan. She was a highly educated and accomplished woman who tied the knot last year at the age of 45 years and she got married to a professor from NUST, Faisal Asghar Imam. She was a family oriented woman who was brutally killed by her own husband.
Faisal Asghar Imam who looked like a sane and educated person from the outside was a monster from the inside. He killed Hina Javed with the help of his servant and hung her in the bathroom. That is where police found her body and she was bound and her face was covered. She had been beaten badly before being killed. Later post mortem revealed how her neck bone was broken and her pericardium was filled with blood.
The victim Hina Javed’s cousin, journalist Sabah Bano Malik and her sister-in-law Misbah Fahad spoke to Bol TV. Sabah revealed that Hina was a go getter and she was career oriented. She had just received a promotion and she was going to join the President House’s media team. But she would still take care of her home and drive back to see her parents who were suffering from Alzheimers and Parkinsons. Misbah shared how she always balanced family and career and they believe they will get justice in this case.
