Iqrar Ul Hassan, a former TV host, journalist, and active Pakistani politician, was arrested from his home in DHA, Lahore, at around 2:40 am in the midnight. The news was shared by Waseem Badami and his second wife, Farah Iqrar.

Farah Iqrar posted a video saying, “Iqrar Ul Hassan has been arrested. We were sleeping when the bell rang; they broke the gate, got into the house, and arrested Iqrar. They pushed me and hit me. Iqrar was still sleepy when they confiscated our mobile phones. They harassed aunty and the house help, and confiscated our phones. I saw NCCI imprinted on their uniforms. I don’t know where they have taken Iqrar Ul Hassan. In this country, speaking up is a crime. They invaded our privacy; women asked me to cover myself because at night we are usually in our casual get up. We aren’t safe in our own house.” Watch here:
Waseem Badami further informed in a video that Iqrar Ul Hassan had been arrested. Watch the video:
Social media users, however, are saying that many people have been arrested in the past, but his family members and friends are only speaking up now because it happened to them. A few termed it a staged drama by Iqrar Ul Hassan. Read the comments.
