Aangan is a period Hum TV drama that started airing in December 2018, starring Sajal Aly, Ahad Raza Mir, Mawra Hocane, Sonya Hussyn, Ahsan Khan, Abid Ali ( Late) , Shahroz Sabzwari, Hassan Noman and others. The story is inspired by Khadija Mastoor’s award-winning Partition novel. The dialogues and screen play were written by Mustafa Afridi, it was directed by Ehteshamuddin, and was produced by Momina Duraid.
Soon after Aangan aired, Hum TV removed the drama from YouTube, and it was never re-watched by the drama buffs due to its unavailability on Digital media.
Recently, Hum TV announced the re-airing of Aangan saying, “Hum TV is airing the drama series Aangan on high public demand” The channel has started teasing the fans with its posters and promos. Watch the full teaser here:
Aangan lovers are anticipating watching their favourite drama, especially Sajal Aly and Ahad in the same frame. Fans are also of the view that watching a drama with grand production value and a star-studded cast again will be a treat for them. Many are urging makers to post episodes on YouTube as well for a high reach. A social media user wrote, “When Aangan originally aired, I was a student and wasn’t allowed to watch TV, now I can watch it again ” Another wrote, “It will help the students because in first year Urdu, we have a chapter from Aangan Novel”.
