Humaira Asghar is an actress and model who tragically passed away in Karachi. She was 32 years old and she became famous after she appeared as a contestant in Tamasha Season 1. She also worked in several dramas and she has worked for several brands as a model. The news of her death was a shock to everyone in the country as she looked perfectly healthy and young.
Police revealed that Humaira Asghar Ali rented an apartment in DHA Phase 6 Karachi 7 years ago. She has been living there since 2018 and she had not paid her rent since 2024. Her landlord finally sued her for non-payment of rent. The bailiff arrived from court in order to vacate the premises where he found her dead body yesterday. Police have confirmed that Humaira Asghar has been dead for at least a month. The dead body was decaying while the apartment had maggots in it. Her phone’s battery had died which police confiscated from the scene. No suspicious items were found on the scene.

Humaira Asghar’s neighbours revealed that she did not meet anyone in the building and kept to herself. They have not noticed her outside her door for months now. Police have sent the body for forensics while her phone has also been sent for forensic examination. Express News also reported that Humaira Asghar’s father was contacted by the police in Lahore. He has stated that he does not want to claim his daughter’s body as they have cut ties 2 years ago.
The police want Humaira Asghar’s family to register the case of this incident.In case they do not come, police will register the case themselves. Chhipa volunteer who recovered the body spoke to the media. The worker revealed that Humaira’s body is completely decayed and cannot be identified. A DNA test will be done in order to match her with her family. The rescue worker shared that no one in the building felt any smell as not many people were living there. Magazines and photo albums of Humaira were found which helped in her identification.
