Humaira Asghar was an actress and model whose 9 month old dead body was recently recovered from her flat in Karachi. The news caught on fire as soon as people found out about it. This news was strange and horrific and the world wanted to know what actually happened. Initial reports suggested that her parents did not want to claim her body. Her parents have now spoken to the media.
Humaira Asghar’s father Dr Asghar and her mother spoke to Lahore Rang and shared their side of the story. Her father revealed that she was always into art. She went to NCA and she later joined showbiz. She shifted to Karachi to work in showbiz 7 years ago and he had given her permission to pursue her passion. Her mother kept saying that she felt anxious when she was not able to contact her.
Humaira’s mother shared that she spoke to her in August last year. Humaira told her that her SIM cards are being blocked and she needs help. She did not specify the type of help she needed but they had no contact with her after that. The parents shared that she used to return every 2 months and they had a good relationship.
The family did not check up on her as they do not know anyone in Karachi. Humaira Asghar’s father added that he did not refuse to take her body. He is a doctor and knows that he cannot take the body unless post-mortem is done. He expects foul play in this case. He also shared that Humaira never asked for her share in property. His words were that Humaira can never do “Aisi Kameeni Baat” to ask for property.
Humaira’s father added that she had a lot of money and it is impossible that she won’t pay her rent.
