Iftikhar Thakur is among the stars who consistently work with actors from Indian Punjab. Things have gone haywire in the Indian Punjabi industry as well after the India Pakistan stand-off. He has starred in several big budget Punjabi films and he is friends with many big Punjabi stars. His recent statement in support of Pakistan did not sit well with many of his Indian Punjabi colleagues and he has a reply for it.
Iftikhar Thakur had previously given a statement that if you come via air, you will be scattered in the winds, if you come from waters, you will be sunk and if you come through land ways, you will be dug in. And that is what the Pakistan Air Force did to the Indian Air Force. The statement however, did not sit well with many of Iftikhar’s Indian Punjabi colleagues.

Iftikhar Thakur has now spoken about his Indian colleagues and their reactions to his statement. He shared that there are always two types of people. One he said are those who were fed by their brave mothers. They get angry but they will always express their anger with respect. He is also apologetic to a few people like Simi Chahal, Diljit Dosanjh, Amrinder Gill and others as he never wanted to hurt them. They are very respectful of him and he will remember that.
Iftikhar Thakur said that his words are for people like Major Gaurav Arya and General Bakhshi who are jingoists. He added that he has never considered Indian Punjab separate from Pakistani Punjab as they are connected through soul:
The actor also called out Indian Punjabi artists who were disrespectful like their Chief Minister who is also an actor. He said that people like him show how they were brought up with cheap lines and words. Patriotism by them is understandable as they also love their country but grace should be maintained. He also stated that he was the one who started collaborations with Indian Punjab and he is the one who has closed it.
