He gained immense popularity for his performance in the partition-based drama Buniyaad and the military series Param Veer Chakra. His talent was best seen in the hit show Saans, where he played a important role alongside Neena Gupta. Talking about it, Kanwaljit Singh said, “I used to watch Pakistani dramas earlier, and I have also worked in Pakistan. I worked with Bushra Ansari Ji, who is a remarkable actor and a great friend of mine, she is a great writer too. We worked in the web series Kuch Dil Ne Kaha. It was produced by her. I couldn’t go to Pakistan and she couldn’t come to India and so we shot it in Bangkok. She is a great actor and sings well too. Her sister is quite popular on television.
