Sana Yousaf was a 17 year old influencer based in Islamabad. She was unfortunately stalked and later killed by a man who followed her on social media. The tragedy was huge and the safety of women in Pakistan came into question once again. The killer was caught by the police and he is still undergoing trial. But it seems like such cases are not stopping anytime soon.
A similar case has now come forward with influencer Samiya Hijab facing a similar threat. She is a friend of Sana Yousaf and she was taken by force from her house. She is back and instead of keeping silent, she is seeking justice. She took to Instagram and shared a video from her home’s CCTV. She revealed that a man named Hassan Zahid who is from Lahore has been harassing and stalking her. She alleged that he came to her house and forcefully took her away in his car. She shared his picture and the footage of the incident.
Samiya Hijab said that she is coming forward as she does not want to end up like Sana Yousaf. She will fight the case and she has registered an FIR with Islamabad Police. She hopes she will get protection and this man will be arrested.
