Iqrar Ul Hassan Syed is a popular Pakistani anchor, host, and crime reporter, widely known for his investigative show Sar-e-Aam. Besides this, Iqrar ul Hassan is also recognized for Shaan-e-Ramzan and other live television transmissions. Iqrar ul Hassan has now joined politics and has formed his party, Awam Raah Tehreek.
Today, Iqrar ul Hassan announced his resignation from ARY Network as a television host.
In his latest Instagram video, Iqrar ul Hassan said, “My journey with ARY ends here. I have submitted my resignation with a heavy heart to Salman Iqbal. I will share the reasons shortly in the video. These 21 years with ARY were a blessing, and I lived my life to the fullest. ARY gave me fame, opportunities, and respect. I received love from across the country because of ARY. From my audition in 2005 to yesterday, until my resignation, everything is a memory. I worked as a news anchor, host, and reporter. I witnessed Pervez Musharraf’s martial law, I saw Imran Khan’s rise, and I saw governments come and go. I covered protests, the Lawyers’ Movement, and traveled to Burma, Syria, and Turkey to report on earthquakes and wars. I covered everything. I addressed parliament, delivered lectures at University of Oxford and University of Cambridge, and achieved everything one could wish for. I will not discuss Sar-e-Aam because it requires a complete tribute show.”
He further added, “In 2005, ARY announced an open day audition. We reached there, were selected, and began our journey without any reference. The ARY studio saw my son grow from childhood to his teenage years. ARY Digital was like a family to me; it felt like I owned it. Today, I also remember my friend Raja Matloob, who would be unhappy with this decision, and we would have long discussions about it. Today, I am ending my 21-year journey with ARY because, between ARY Network and Awam Raah Tehreek, I had to choose one. I have sacrificed my career for the future of the upcoming generation.” Watch here:
