Irfan Khoosat is a seasoned Television, Radio and film artist known for his remarkable contributions in entertainment industry. His claim to the fame project was Andhera Ujala which bagged him a timeless stardom. His other notable dramas are Baaghi, Sammi, Khuda Aur Mohabbat 2, Noor ul Ain, Aun Zara, Shashlik, Sadqay Tumhare and others.
Recently, Irfan Khoosat appeared in Wasi Shah’s talk show Zabardast which airs on Neo TV. In the show, he opened up about his famous long running dramas series Andhera Ujala.
Talking about Andhera Ujala memories, Irfan Khoosat said, “You all have seen our remarkable work in Andhera Ujala as viewers, but my constant regret is that many of the friends who were in that frame have left this world. It pains me that they have all passed away — I remember and miss each one of them. Qavi Khan has gone, Jameel Fakhri has left, Abid Butt is gone, and Main Khan, the Sipahi is gone. The police station of Karamdad now stands empty.”
He also added,“The stature and popularity that Andhera Ujala had was due to its writer. We were only the performers in it but we should salute it’s writer Younas Javed who created that world.”
Talking about if Sarmad Khoosat can do Andhera Ujala, he said, “Whatever Sarmad is doing, he is perfect in it and I can’t do it. Likewise, he can’t do whatever I have done.”.
He further said, “Sarmad isn’t as beautiful as me, also he should play younger characters. The characters that will suit his age”.
