Case No. 9 is a drama that just started airing on Geo TV. The show is a crime thriller which is dealing with the legal struggles a rape victim goes through in Pakistan. Saba Qamar, Faysal Quraishi, Junaid Khan, Naveen Waqar, Gohar Rasheed and Aaminah Sheikh are just a few names attached to this project. The drama marked the debut of news anchor Shahzeb Khanzada as a writer while Syed Wajahat Hussain is the director.
Shahzeb Khanzada was a guest on Hasna Mana Hai and he spoke about the process of writing Case No. 9. His wife actress Rushna Khan is also a part of the show and she is playing Kiran, the wife of Kamran aka Faysal Quraishi. Shahzeb revealed that he once saw a script in his home which his wife was working on and he told her that he can also write a script. His wife was skeptical but he took it as a challenge and wrote the script. He went through an accident and he was injured but he kept writing the script and that is how Case No. 9 came about. He also wanted to write this as he wanted to play his part in promoting women empowerment.

Shahzeb Khanzada also revealed if Case No. 9 is a true story. He shared that this is not based on one single case but he has seen cases of rape and the story is always same. The push back from their own family and how society discourages a woman is what he has tried to show through this drama.
