Ishq Murshid has woven a world of magic where we are connected to all the characters and want to know more about their journey. Bilal Abbas Khan as Fazal Bakhsh has been very important in the story and he is the driving force behind attracting such a huge number of audiences but the little nuances of Sindhi culture and language in the drama have made it even more beautiful. We as a country cannot become more integrated unless we get to see each other’s cultures, languages, and traditions on national television. Ishq Murshid has been able to bring beautiful lakes of Sindh, subtle additions of Sindhi language words, and a big Sindhi artist Ali Gul Mallah to the mainstream. Farooq Rind has now successfully introduced a huge chunk of the audience to beautiful Sindhi music.
In episode 21, in the backdrop of Sukaina’s wedding, we got Saif Samejo’s beautiful rendition of Saeed Imdad Hussaini’s poem Tuhinja Sapna. The fact that the director took time to add Urdu subtitles to the song made many more people able to understand the beauty of the song. Add a rugged-looking Fazal Bakhsh and an angelic Shibra to it and we get magic.
