Ishrat Fatima is a famous Pakistani news presenter who has been part of the media for over 4 decades now. She has read news through different eras and she has broken the biggest news in the country including the death of Benazir Bhutto. She just went through a tough patch when she was being pushed out of television but the government stepped in and now she is working as an advisor.
Ishrat was a guest on Tauseeq Haider’s podcast and revealed a huge fact about her life. She has faced colourism since she was a child. She explained how she never liked her complexion and looks and she always looked very common. She used to get criticism over her complexion and this shaped her personality. Over the years, she has learnt to fight this outdated concept and her husband has played a huge role here.
Ishrat Fatima said that she is grateful how she received so much fame and respect with her own colour and looks. Added to that her husband never asked her to do extra makeup or change her appearance. He actually used to notice if she had applied anything extra on her face. His acceptance and love helped her heal.
