She became a household name across Pakistan due to her iconic 9:00 pm news bulletin on PTV. Currently, she is associated with Radio Pakistan. Ishrat Fatima is happily married and lives with her beautiful family in Islamabad.
Recently, rumours about Ishrat Fatima’s death went viral on social media. However, she has now clarified the truth and dismissed all such false reports.
Speaking about the incident, Ishrat Fatima said, “I was coming back home from Radio Pakistan when I received a call from my dear friend and colleague, Tauseeq Haider, who asked, ‘What are the news reports about you on social media?’ I got scared, thinking maybe something inappropriate or false about me was circulating, as I’ve always been very careful about my conduct and reputation. But then he told me it was news about my death. For me, respect matters the most. If the name I’ve earned remains intact, I’m content. News about death doesn’t scare me; instead, I await Allah’s call. I pray that when Allah says, ‘Now come back, your character in this world is over,’. Although I want it to happen peacefully. May Allah grant me an easy death. I also wish to perform Hajj in my lifetime, especially one for my late father, alongside my husband, Saqib Sahib. Please always keep me in your prayers. I am here because of Allah, my parents, and my fans, and I pray for all of you as well.”
