Jafaa is a show that found a lot of viewership and appreciation from the day it started airing. The drama had a great star cast but Usman Mukhtar as Dr Numair became a fan favourite. The character is getting a lot of backlash in recent episodes but Dr Numair has still started a lot of conversations regarding the themes in the show.
Usman Mukhtar spoke about Jafaa to Mahwash Ajaz in a recent interview and spoke about why he chose Jafaa. He shared that he has seen someone very close to him go through domestic violence who later on found her strength and added to that male infertility were themes that made him pick Jafaa as a project.

Usman Mukhtar said that he knew that criticism would become when Jafaa fans thought that Numair was a green flag. He wanted fans to wait for 10 more episodes as he knew that the narrative would change then because Numair is a grey character. And that is what ended up happening:
Usman Mukhtar shared that Dr Numair never told his own mother or sister in Jafaa about his condition as he thought he would get judged and they would not understand him. He had lost his father and if he had his dad, things would be easier to speak about with him but he just could not talk about his infertility to his mother.
