Jafaa is a popular Hum TV drama which is garnering good views and trp. The drama is written by Sameera Fazal and it has been directed by Danish Nawaz. Last week, Jafaa made headlines due to its controversial twist where Dr. Numair takes his newly born daughter to the hospital for a DNA test. This plot twist got a heavy public backlash and Usman Mukhtar also defended his character.
Lately, Jafaa writer Sameera Fazal made an appearance in Fuchsia Magazine’s YouTube show where she defended Dr. Numair’s character.
Talking about Numair, Jafaa writer said, “He hasn’t become imperfect; what’s wrong with doubting Deebu’s character? You people have made him a green flag or a green tree, but even a green tree has yellow leaves. Nobody is perfect; only Allah is perfect. Numair has his imperfections. In my dramas, I never show abusers as heroes—my hero always protects his lady and Numair is one of them. Some people are criticizing his hair, but we’ve shown him like that because he is an oncologist who isn’t very interested in his looks”.
She further added, “Numair is not doubting Deebu but is distracted by his shortcomings and is dealing with his own problem. Also, Numair hasn’t talked about Deebu with anyone.
