Javed Sheikh is a veteran Pakistani actor, director, and producer known for his remarkable contributions to the entertainment industry. He has worked in numerous iconic Pakistani dramas and films. Some of his most memorable television roles include Ankahi, Zindagi Gulzar Hai, Samjhota and others. In Pakistani cinema, he has starred in blockbuster films like Na Maloom Afraad, Jawani Phir Nahi Ani, and Wrong Number. He also worked in Bollywood films like Om Shanti Om, Namastey London, and Jannat.
He recently appeared in Aaj TV’s Ramadan transmission where he opened up about his working experience with Imran Hashmi.
Talking about it, he said, “I was on the set of my film with Imran Hashmi in Cape Town. I was sitting on my set when the director introduced me to Imran Hashmi. I said, ‘Assalamu Alaikum’ and extended my hand toward him. However, he behaved rudely, ignored my greeting, and walked away. I became very angry at his arrogance. After a while, the director came to me and said that I had to rehearse with Imran Hashmi. I told the director that I am not going anywhere—he will come to me for rehearsals. Eventually, the director made him come to me, and we rehearsed together. I worked with him for many days, but I never spoke to him. I didn’t even look at him except during work”.
