While talking about Rohit, he defended the character by saying, “If your best friend does something wrong, will you send him to jail? No, you will try to save him. Your foremost instinct will be to protect the friend with whom you’ve shared your life moments. Morally, he knows what’s right and wrong, but he’s stuck in a situation where he has to save him. Having said that, he is angry at Kamran and is always confronting him for his actions when he is with him.”

He further added, “Rohit isn’t telling anything to Kiran or taking a stand because if he confesses, he will lose his business, his friendship, and Kamran’s family will be destroyed. As a viewer, I think the right thing seems to be going to court and telling the judges directly that Kamran is the culprit, but reality is different—people do try to save their loved ones.” Here is what he said:

While discussing the portrayal of a Hindu character in a positive light, Junaid Khan said, “It’s good that they showed a Hindu character in a positive manner. Why can’t it be done? We have Hindu friends. It’s about time we represent society as it is, as there are many well-to-do Hindus contributing to Pakistani society. Why is it not done more often? Because yes, we do treat it as a taboo in our society and maybe Rohit is shown a Hindu because there is a backstory behind Rohit due to which he is burdened. I didn’t have any reservations about playing the role. I was actually happy that we’re moving towards inclusivity. All religions should be represented.” Watch Here:

Junaid Khan also praised the director’s vision because of the way the casting was done for Case No. 9. Speaking about it, he said, “I will credit the director for the casting because in this project, every actor has been chosen for a reason. I know, I wouldn’t have played anything other than Rohit because I trust Wajahat, the producer, and the writer. They placed everyone correctly. They knew exactly where Gohar should be, what Noor Hassan could bring, and why Navin Waqar was important, as her character comes from an educational background. I was signed maybe because of my looks—perhaps they thought I would look good sitting in a suit on set. Navin Waqar was a perfect choice for Manisha because she fits the character and its background.” Here is the link to the video:
