Lately, Sheikh Rohail Asghar appeared in Abdul Hayee Siddiqui’s podcast where he opened up about the details of Shanzay Ali Rohail and Junaid Safdar’s proposal and wedding.
Talking about how the marriage was arranged, Rohail Asghar said, “It was purely an arranged marriage. The rumours of a love marriage are false. Maryam is like my daughter, and she respects me a lot. Her daughter Mahnoor and my granddaughter Shanzay have been best friends for a long time. They were so close that they even used to stay at each other’s homes. During one such visit, they saw my granddaughter and expressed their wish to make her their daughter-in-law. Junaid Safdar’s family conveyed this proposal to me, and I agreed because he was my leader. He invited me for tea and we discussed it. Let me tell you, he is a very simple and hospitable man.
