Kashif Mehmood was a guest on Mazaq Raat and revealed the struggles he had in the industry. He said he was an extra for 7 years and then his shot was aired on PTV with Resham where his face was not even showing. He still kept working with the belief that one day he will gain recognition and he later on became a household name.

He went on to share that he made his drama Ashiana with a lot of debt. The drama became a superhit but the channel did not pay him. The show then ran on PTV and he was able to give back all the money accumulated in debt.
