Laughter Chef is a popular Indian cooking reality show hosted by Bharti Singh. In the show, a chef acts as a supervisor who assigns tasks to celebrity contestants participating as chefs. The show is highly popular in India, with each episode garnering millions of views. Officially titled Laughter Chefs: Unlimited Entertainment, it premiered in 2024. So far, two seasons of Laughter Chef have aired. Season 2 concluded on 27th July 2025 and was won by Karan Kundra.
Pakistan has once again copied an Indian reality show. This time, Green Entertainment introduced a cooking reality show named Kashmir Comedy Kitchen, following the same format and components as India’s Laughter Chef. The Pakistani version is hosted by Faiza Saleem, with Sadaat Siddiqui as the supervising chef. The celebrity participants include Amar Khan, Yashma Gill, Mariyam Nafees, Mustafa Chaudhary, and others.
Laughter Chef is quite popular among some Pakistani viewers, who are upset with Green Entertainment for copying it instead of coming up with innovative ideas.
The Pakistani show is getting severe public backlash. One viewer commented, “Seriously, Pakistan can’t do anything but copy.” Another wrote, “Don’t you have any original ideas of your own?” A fan remarked, “Whatever they do, they can’t beat Laughter Chef.” Another comment read, “The female host is trying hard to copy Bharti Singh.” One viewer added, “So sad! They copied it another popular show but it is a trash.” Another fan expressed, “I feel so embarrassed to see this copy of India’s famous show. What will Indians say after watching this—that Pakistan has no originality in its content?” Read more comments here:
