Dr Arooba Tariq is a famous Pakistani host who has appeared in numerous notable political satire shows including the most famous Khabarnaak. She rose to fame as Khabarnaak co-host which used to air on Geo News. She is currently co-hosting Khabarhar and Gupshup With Aftab Iqbal. Dr Arooba is an MBBS doctor by profession who has done practice in reputable Pakistani hospitals. Nowadays, Dr Arooba is living in Dubai because of her show Khabarhar.
Recently, Dr Arooba appeared in Hafiz Ahmed’s podcast. In the podcast, she revealed that she was offered Geo TV’s big drama but she refused it.
Talking about getting offers from Geo TV, she said, “people in the media always remember you through your face especially if you have previously appeared in the TV shows. I instantly got a big drama offer from Geo TV as a main lead. The drama had a big filmy cast, they really wanted me to do, they bucked me up, they invited me to the studio to check the environment of sets and the procedures of recording to make up my mind about doing it. Actually, my father didn’t allow me to do the drama. He said, ‘you can do the hosting but don’t do dramas. I still thought about visiting Shahnoor studio. After visiting the studio, I realized that I can’t do acting because of the intense scenes where the hero is holding your hand. I refused because I knew that as a beginner I won’t be having any say regarding modifying such bold scenes”.
