Recently, Khalil Ur Rehman Qamar appeared in journalist Irshad Bhatti’s podcast. In the podcast, he first time talked about marrying Faysal Quraishi’s first wife with whom Faysal also has a daughter Hanish Quraishi.
Khalil ur Rehman Qamar said, “Mere Paas Tum Ho is not at all inspired by my life, but it was quoted like that during it was airing. Faysal Quraishi is a very dear friend of mine. I have great ties with him; I was the one who found him. He is a wonderful actor. I was stunned to see his acting in auditions. He initially came for five scenes only, I fought for him. That incident can’t be matched with the drama, don’t do that. The divorce didn’t happen because of me. I fought with Faysal and his mother to make his marriage work. I tried to save it but his mother said, ‘This divorce has been postponed just because of you, but it had to happen”.
Khalil Ur Rehman further added, “I married his wife is another story. I can recite Kalma that the reason for his divorce was not me, it was something else. Also, I wasn’t that rich like Shehwar, why would a woman come to me. I was not financially settled to attract women. Please for God sake, Faysal Quraishi’s house was not broken because of me. I met him twice in my life; I didn’t even know his wife; I saw his wife once or twice; I can’t tell why I married her later on”.
