Khawaja Saleem is a veteran Pakistani television actor who started his career as a child actor in 1972. He has worked extensively in PTV classics as well as private channel dramas. His hit dramas include Anokha Laadla , Angaar Wadi, Bashar Momin, Aahan, Baandi, Saat Pardon Main, Mohabbat Tum SE Nafrat Hai and others. Fans praised his iconic performances in both PTV classics Anokha Laadla and Angaar Wadi.
Recently, Khuwaja Saleem appeared in Zabardast with Wasi Shah. In the show he revealed both Amitabh Bachan and Shahrukh Khan copied his iconic PTV roles in theory films.
Khuwaja Saleem said, “We have actors, artists and comedians but few other people are hit as there is no formula of getting hit. Now, there was a film in India Teri Meherbanian, in that film a dog became hit, it is the director’s brilliance that he made the dog stand out amongst all the cast members. The way I spoke in one of my hit dramas was copied in India, Amitabh Bachan did it in the film Agneepath, in Pakistan Babar Ali also copied it but he took mybpermission before doing it”
Talking about being copied by SRK, he said, “Angar Wadi is a beautiful drama series, it was directed by Rauf Khalid. It was a huge hit of its time and India made a drama series Ajnabi in its competition, which aired on Door Darshan. Shahrukh Khan did a lead role in that. Although, it didn’t do well in India. In Angar Wadi,my character Major No Lakha was a huge hit and they even copied it later in another Shahrukh Khan’s film.
