Laeeq Ahmed, the seasoned host and compere of PTV is no more with us. He passed away on Tuesday, 27 January 2014 in Islamabad. Late Laeeq Ahmed started his career from PTV in 1964 by hosting a Science based Quiz show. His distinctive work includes Live transmission of 1970’s election, Live Transmission of OIC summit in Lahore, Live transmission of 1977, 1985 and 1988 general elections. In recognition of his contributions, Government of Pakistan awarded him Pride of Performance too.
