Laila Wasti is a gorgeous and talented Pakistani television actress. She started her showbiz journey with PTV drama serial Aitraf. The actress is the daughter of late actors Rizwan Wasti and Tahira Wasti who were stars of their time. She spent most of her time in USA and graduated in film making from there. The actress is happily married. Laila has now made a comeback in the media industry and is garnering huge acclaim for her performances. Fans recently praised her in Khaie.
Lately, Laila Wasti appeared in the show Mazaaqrat, hosted by Imran Ashraf. In the show, she talked about her beauty, joining the showbiz industry and rejoining the media.
Talking about it, she said, “Beauty is something that I attained from my mother. Beauty is not our achievement, yes it plays an important part in fetching projects. Also, my parents were from showbiz, so naturally, it also paved the way for me. I was never interested in becoming an actor probably because my parents were actors and I was taking it for granted. But I got an opportunity because of Nusrat Thakur, he wanted me to play Anarkali in his drama, my parents agreed with him on my behalf. I went to Lahore for the rehearsals, Samiya Mumtaz was also with me but it didn’t happen because of Copyright issues.” Here is the link to the video:
Laila Wasti also talked about getting the chance to play a vital character in Khaie and her rebirth as an actor, talking about it she said, “It was a wonderful experience, each actor perfectly nailed his/her character in Khaie. It was shot in the mountains, we had difficulties in travelling but otherwise it was a great experience”
Talking about rejoining showbiz, she said, “When I left, I was a leading lady but when I came back, I started playing the characters of mothers, I played the mother of few humanly impossible age groups. Well, I didn’t feel any difficulty working with actors after returning to showbiz industry because it was my rebirth as an actor, the industry used to know me but I was new for the younger lot”.
