Legendary Bollywood playback and classical singer Asha Bhosle has passed away. She sang countless iconic Bollywood songs for hit films like Teesri Manzil, Caravan, Yaadon Ki Baaraat, Ijaazat, Saagar, and many others, which are widely regarded as the high points of her illustrious career. Her notable songs are Sharara, Radha Kaise Na Jale, Le Gai, Pyar Hmara Amar Rahega, Mehndi Hai Rachne Wali and others.
The veteran singer breathed her last today at the age of 92. She had been admitted to Breach Candy Hospital following a heart attack, after which she developed multiple complications leading to organ failure. Asha Bhosle was the sister of Lata Mangeshkar, who was also celebrated for her remarkable achievements. Bollywood legends, as well as the Indian Prime Minister and other authorities, have expressed their grief over this great loss.
