Talking to UrduPoint.com, Taha Abbasi Shaheed’s father said, “He was sensitive, intelligent, and pious since childhood. Unlike other children, he was never naughty. Sometimes he used to amaze me with his wisdom. That is why I am not surprised that he left this world early. I received the news from my elder son, who is a Major in the Army. He simply said, ‘Taha,’ and being a soldier’s father, I immediately knew something had happened to my son. I asked if his plane had crashed, and my elder son said yes. My youngest son is also a GD pilot. I am a proud father of a martyr. Taha joined the Navy, spent seven months on ship, and then moved to aviation. The important thing about Taha was that he was in the final days of his training. He was a loving kid of the family who used to gather the whole family together.”

Lt Taha Abbasi Shaheed’s mother added, “He was my beloved son. He made my family proud. I feel proud to be a soldier’s mother and that my son sacrificed his life for the country. I had been worried for the last two days and was not feeling right. Then this happened. My son called me and gave me the news. Initially, he said Taha had been injured, but I sensed that he had embraced martyrdom. My children are very strong. I feel proud of our armed forces; they respected me so much. I kissed my son’s forehead which I can never forget. I sacrificed one son for the country. I salute the Army for standing by their soldiers and officers. It is now my responsibility to take care of my daughter-in-law, who is also my brother’s daughter. He never got angry and never made unnecessary demands.” Here is the link to the video:
