Mahira Khan is a humble Pakistani television and film star who is currently garnering praise for her hit film Love Guru. The movie has so far collected more 70 Crore rupees and it is still successfully running in the cinema. Previously, fans recently praised Mahira Khan in Razia, Hum Kahan Ke Sachay Thay, Aik Hai Nigar and Quaid e Azam Zindabad.
Recently, Mahira Khan has given an interview to Independent Urdu in which she discussed the success of Love Guru. She also talked about upcoming projects, age shaming and getting banned in India.
Talking about Love Guru success, Mahira Khan said, โWhat happens is, whenever a film is released, it either becomes a hit or a flop. I am very thankful to Allah that Love Guru became successful, because it was necessary for all of us โ we needed this. After the success of any project, you move forward, because you suddenly realize that there are multiple other projects to do. One gets busy with the next project. And this happens to all actors. I will also do the same, and Iโm currently reading two scripts. Letโs see which one I go for.โ
She further said, “I learned a lot from Nadeem Baig. He guided me throughout the movie, also, I understood Sophia so well, so, it was easy for me to perform. She further said that Neelofar is the upcoming project but she doesn’t the release timings. She said that their team created Neelofar with so much love and hard work.” Talking about Jo Bachay Hain Sang Samait Lo, she said, “My character in Jo Bachay Hain Sang Samait Lo, is very much opposite to it”
Mahira Khan further addressed the age shaming she faced during Love Guru, she said, “My mother told me that there was a man talking against me and that she felt bad watching that clip, and said, ‘why don’t you hide your age?’ to which I replied, ‘I don’t because that’s me, I told when I got married, when I became mother, when I got divorced and what age I am. This doesn’t bother me and I welcome all sorts of opinions.”
