Turkish drama series Dirilis Ertugrul has been super-hit in Pakistan and people can’t stop talking about it.
Some Pakistani celebrities loved Turkish Game of Thrones, Dirilis Ertugrul while as some celebrities were completely against it and others called it ‘threat to our local culture’.
Shaan Shahid, Mansha Pasha, and Yasir Hussain raised the voice for production houses who are already suffering due to lockdown. They believed we must produce our original content.
On the other hand, Bilal Ashraf, Mehwish Hayat, Osman Khalid Butt, and Haroon Rashid talked in favour of Ertgrul.
After all this, Mahira Khan has also jumped in this conversation about Ertgrul and she has come out in support of Ertugrul.
While giving an interview with HSY, she shared her opinion and said, “I have no reservations about it and I have not seen it.”
“I talked about this with Humayun that I think when we buy these dramas so they are not very expensive because they have run these dramas for many years,” Khan said.
“I don’t know the mechanics of the business but I feel why not? Let them come, let it play. I am so happy about the PTV channel because everyone stopped watching PTV and now everyone is watching their favourite drama on it,” she added.
Mahira Khan said, “I feel like if our content is good then people will watch it and people will watch their content too.”
