Maria Malik is a new actress who has started working in the drama industry not too long ago. She has been noticed in several dramas and currently her show, Ilzam e Ishq has gained good viewership. She loves and has a great passion for acting and she is also very open about her journey in the industry. She was a guest on Fuchsia and shared her experience while working in showbiz.
Maria Malik shared the negative side she felt when she joined the industry. She said newcomers usually get offered supporting characters. She also started with supporting roles and then she rejected a few characters as she wanted to play the lead. She said producers generally mind when you say “No” to them. Later when she finds success, the same producers were nice to her. Thus she has seen how demotivating the industry can be.

She also spoke about the dark side of the industry. She said it is generally a safe place but for some it is not. She has not faced any kind of harassment but she has listened to stories of others who have gone through it. She feels bad for them and she knows such things happen. She will not make any more comments on this as she has felt safe in the industry thus far.
