Marina Khan is a veteran Pakistani television and film actress who rose to popularity through hit PTV dramas. Her breakthrough project was Tanhaiyaan. Marina’s other notable dramas include Dhoop Kinare, Parosi, Nijaat, Tanhaiyaan: Naye Silsilay, Jackson Heights, Qissa Chaar Darvesh, Tau Dil Ka Kya Hua, Bandish, Dil Ruba, and Mohabbat Jaye Bhar Mein. Marina Khan is also an excellent director, and her drama Mushkil gained significant popularity in the recent past. Fans are currently watching another drama series directed by her, Dastak, on ARY Digital.
In a recent episode of Kya Drama Hai Uncut Review discussing Sher, Marina Khan raised concerns about the casting of actor Nabeel in a serious role.
Speaking about it, Marina Khan said,
“I am enjoying the acting in Sher. However, I do not fully believe in Nabeel in this role. Even though it is fantastic that he is part of it, and I know it is very brave of him to portray such a serious character but I keep seeing Mehmood Sahab in him. Just like Behroz Sabzwari was stuck in the character of Qabacha, which took him time to move on from, I feel the same with Nabeel. Not that I’m saying he is doing a bad job — I know he’s doing excellent but some things become pre conceived notions like I felt that, at some point he would say ‘Mehmood Sahab’. Obviously, it’s good to see him on screen because we need new faces. That’s how I felt but the emotions and feelings he portrayed were real.” Here is the link to the video:
