Recently, Maryam Shafi appeared on Wasi Shah’s show Zabardast, where she opened up about becoming a widow at a young age.

Talking about it, Maryam Shafi said, “Unfortunately, my husband also died young, just like my parents. I lived with my mother-in-law, who passed away recently at the age of 97. My husband suffered a severe heart attack, which resulted in his death, and yes, he was quite young at the time of his death. I always thought that Allah had sent me in this world for bigger purposes so I kept myself composed. Our marriage lasted for 12 years until he passed away. I didn’t take this tragedy on my nerves and made myself strong enough that there was a time when, while doing crying scenes, I would always need glycerine because it was hard for me to cry naturally.” Watch her interview here:
