Sanam Teri Kasam marked Mawra Hocane’s debut in Bollywood. The film did not do well back then and Mawra did not work in any more Bollywood projects due to the ban on Pakistani artists. She is a star who always stood for peace and harmony and like all Pakistanis, she never went on a jingoistic spree. Her film was re-released recently and it rocked the box office. It made people in India fall in love with her all over again and she was happy for the film’s success.
Sanam Teri Kasam’s part 2 is in the works and there were talks of her joining the cast. Her co-star Harshvardhan stated a hateful rhetoric against her after war started and stated that he does not want to work with her anymore. Mawra Hocane hit back and said that she cannot believe someone can use a war for his PR. Now, she is being removed from posters.
