Meera is an actress and film star who started her journey more than 2 decades ago. She has starred in hundreds of films and she also worked on television. For years, she has remained relevant due to her scandals and she has now once again been marred in a controversy after her recent interview with Irshad Bhatti.
There was a larger debate after the interview went on air. People were debating how Meera is an artist and a woman and she should be respected and given space like other women artists. People stood by her and criticized Irshad Bhatti for his offensive attitude towards her.
Meera has now spoken to Haroon Rashid of BBC Asian Network while promoting her film Psycho. She said that yes she wants to have more respect and she deserves love of the audience as well. She agreed with Haroon that she is a working woman who came into the field to support her family and she did it in every way that she could.
