Danish Taimoor stirred a controversy this Ramzan with a bold statement regarding multiple marriages. In Green Entertainment’s ramzan transmission Mehfil E Ramzan, Danish Taimoor remarked, “I am allowed to have four wives but currently ( Filhal) choosing not to pursue multiple marriages is another story”. The statement quickly went viral and sparked backlash on social media. Many fans and viewers criticized Danish for making such remarks on a public platform, calling it insensitive and inappropriate. The episode ignited a heated debate on social media about celebrity responsibility and the misuse of religious allowances for entertainment.
Recently, famous chef Mahnoor Malik was the guest of Marriam Kaiwan’s podcast where she revealed the real reason behind Danish Taimoor’s Filhal statement.
Talking about it, Mahnoor Malik said, “Yes, the Filhal controversy went viral after the Mehfil-e-Ramzan show. I have already said that things often appear very different on TV compared to reality. If I talk about our two hosts, I would rate Danish higher between the two — he was kinder and more friendly. The Filhal incident occurred because Danish Taimoor has a habit of saying Filhal — he uses it in almost every statement. When Ayeza came on the show, she was super friendly and kind. Now, about the Filhal statement — it had been a topic of discussion on the show for weeks. So, when Ayeza Khan came, the same discussion was ongoing, and in the heat of the moment, he said it again. I don’t think there was any motive behind it. I also believe Ayeza remained silent because reacting might have triggered even a bigger controversy.”
