Dr Bahu brings back Mehreen Jabbar in a full length drama. Mehreen is a star director who has given some of the biggest classics including Daam, Doraha and Mata e Jaan Hai Tu. The director’s talent has always shined through her craft and she has been working only on web series or short dramas for the past few years. She also directed films but no full length shows.
Kubra Khan and Shuja Asad are the main leads in her new drama. Dr Bahu brought her back to the prime time television. The cast is solid and the story is connecting with the audience. It was Mehreen’s big comeback and both Humayun Saeed and Nadeem Baig asked her to direct this show. She has now revealed a big change that she wanted to do.
Mehreen Jabbar read the script and felt that Dr Bahu has a lot of layers and nuances and she will enjoy working on those. But she told Nadeem Baig that this title Dr Bahu has to change. With time, everyone on set told her that this title suits and in the end the channel was also happy. Thus they went with Dr Bahu, which is much more than just a drama about doctors or a saas-bahu saga.
