Mehrunisa Iqbal recently joined Rise and Shine via video link, where she opened up about getting married at a young age. She also advised Pakistani actresses to get married at the right time.
Replying to Nadia Khan’s question, “What advice do you have for young girls working in the field?” Mehrunisa Iqbal said, “Yes, I think it is advisable to get married at the right time because everything should be done at the right stage of life. Getting married at a younger age is important because, as you mature, your choices change and your standards become higher. It becomes difficult to get married at a later stage, so it is better to make the decision at the right time. Everything can go together—you can manage both your home and work, and things get better. I also had higher standards and expectations from marriage, but you have to lower your expectations and make sacrifices, which I did.
