Mishi Khan is a renowned Pakistani TV actor and presenter, famous for her stellar acting in hits like Uroosa, Ajaib Ghar, Boota from Toba Tek Singh, Khala Khairan, and Saat Pardon Main. For the past fifteen years, she has been successfully hosting a long running morning show of K2 TV. Apart from acting, Mishi Khan is also known for being an outspoken and socially conscious media figure who frequently voices her thoughts on various issues and viral debates.
Lately, Mishi Khan posted a video on her official Instagram account, where she came to the defense of fellow Pakistani stars Humayun Saeed and Mahira Khan. In the clip, she criticized insecure Pakistani audience for their habit of age-shaming celebrities.
Mishi Khan said, “To all the critics: if you’re critiquing someone’s work, that makes sense โ but now a new trend has started where actors are being specially targeted for their age. Look at Bollywood โ actresses continue to work with glamour, and while they all look their age, no one age-shames them in India. In fact, it’s considered a credit that they are well-maintained. But in Pakistan, it almost feels like a crime to be over 40. These two actresses are so well-maintained โ should actors eat poison at 40? Do you mean to say people should die after turning 30? Those trolling others should take a good look at their own weird faces first.” Here is the link to the video:
She further added, “I watched Love Guru. It was best and perfect with no lighting issues and jumps, locations were beautiful. Everything was awesome, try to ignore minor details like you do while watching Bollywood actors who by the way look too older at this age with saggy skin”
Mishi Khan also posted a video soon after watching Love Guru and said that the movie was perfectly shot and Humayun Saeed and Mahira Khan were looking stunning. She also praised the scenic locations and declared that the movie is worth watching.
Fans are agreeing with Mishi Khan and are also praising her stand for Mahira Khan and Humayun Saeed:
