Moammar Rana and Mehnaz Moammar made one of the most famous couples from the Pakistani film industry. The actor married his wife and the love of his life at the very peak of his career. She used to support him in his film releases and overall career. They have always been open about their love and shared two beautiful daughters from their marriage. But a sad update has come from this fan favourite couple’s side.
Moammar Rana has been stuck in some controversies in the past few years. He was seen drunk at his own film’s premiere. His unprofessional behaviour and later decisions which did not align well for his career growth were seen from the star’s side. He revealed in an interview with Qaiser Piya that he had to go to rehab for alcoholism and his marriage is in trouble. He shared that he has been to a family court and he does not even know what documents he is signing. He just hoped that his marriage would survive this pain and difficulty.
Now, a family court in Lahore has granted khula to Mehnaz Moammar. Her divorce petition revealed that Moammar physically assaulted her under the influence and he would verbally abuse her in front of their daughters. He has also allegedly mistreated their daughters. The actor did not provide for the family and did not improve his behaviour despite family’s interference.
The couple got married in 1998 and they have finally divorced after 28 years of marriage.
