Mohammad Ahmed is a senior Pakistani artist who is known for his writing and acting. His famous dramas include Sabaat, Baitiyaan, Radd, Sunn Mere Dil, Barat Series, Aye Ishq e Junoon, Judwaa, Hum Tum and others. He recently made headlines after highlighting the delayed payment culture in the Pakistani drama industry.
Mohammad Ahmed recently made an appearance in Madeha Naqvi’s show Subh Ka Samaa in which he talked about the tragic death of his elder brother when he was doing his drama shooting.
Talking about it, Mohammad Ahmed said, “I was on the set of the film Cake and in the middle of a funny scene shoot with Amna and Sanam, I instantly read a newly appeared message on my mobile phone which said, “Bhai Jan passed away.” It was the news of my elder brother’s death. I went numb. Asim Abbasi is a great director—he immediately realized something was wrong with me. I borrowed five minutes from him, went outside, and cried a lot. He came to me and asked if I needed time off or wanted to continue with the film. I decided to continue. I couldn’t attend the funeral. I went on the third day but returned the same day, since he was in Islamabad and I was shooting in Karachi. I think Shakespeare ruined it by saying, “The show must go on.”
