Mohra is Geo TV’s hit prime-time drama serial featuring popular actors Laiba Khan, Aagha Ali, Mikaal Zulfiqar, Syeda Tuba Anwar, and many other Pakistani stars. The story revolves around a simple girl who becomes revengeful after her sister Anoushay’s suicide, for which Sikandar, her secret husband, is responsible. The drama is produced by 7th Sky Entertainment, directed by Mohsin Mirza, and written by Tahir Nazeer.
So far, Geo TV has aired 39 episodes of the drama. This week, the channel aired only one episode. Mohra initially gained a lot of attention due to its gripping storyline but has now lost its plot, shifting focus from revenge to family business. Fans are criticizing multiple over-the-top sequences in Mohra, especially Anoushay’s constant presence in Alizeh’s life even after her death. They are also trolling some cheap and illogical narratives, such as the absence of CCTV cameras in an elite-class household.
Mohra viewers are now trolling the storyline, especially the unbelievable sequences like late Anoushay’s frequent appearances and conversations with her sister. Many said they have never experienced one-on-one meetings with deceased family members. One fan wrote, “The way Anoushay keeps appearing isn’t believable to me because I’ve never seen people come back to meet after death.” Another said, “Why did they kill Anoushay if she had to come every day?” Another commented, “All Pakistani dramas take a Star Plus–style turn to grab more audience, which is a cheap strategy by the channels.” A fan also advised Laiba Khan, saying, “Alizeh’s wardrobe needs a makeover.” Fans further trolled Sikandar and Hamza’s parents for not coming out of their rooms despite so much drama happening in the house.
