Danyal Zee, also known as Danyal Zafar, is a well-known Pakistani singer, composer, and actor who has recently garnered praise for his role as Sarbuland in the hit series Zanjeerain, which received critical and public acclaim. Nowadays, Danyal Zee is appearing in his new drama Raqaas, airing on Green TV, alongside Komal Meer. Unfortunately, the drama has failed to impress the public and is also receiving backlash from reviewers.
Nadia Afgan, who is a reviewer at Kya Drama Hai, recently mocked Danyal Zafar for his performance in Raqaas.
In the show, Nadia Afgan said, “So I saw Danny Zee’s character. What do we call him, Danny Zee? So, I saw his character, and it seemed that it’s a lean version of Sarbuland, the one with the chiselled face. Like, the face was looking like a two-day-old balloon that loses some air and looks less blown. Nadia Khan also added, ‘You mean where we need 35% of air, it had 12% air intact.’ He was shown as mysterious. I think that the writer was inspired by old-school Hollywood heroes or actors like Jane Eyre, Jane Austen’s Mr Darcy. They used to be arrogant, becoming calm after meeting their beloved, but then he wasn’t given such dialogues.”
Social media users are deeply angry at Nadia Afgan and are condemning her mockery. One social media user wrote, “She is clearly insulting Danyal by passing that balloon remark. I mean, then these actors say that we are talking about the character, not the actor.” Another wrote, “You people are so discourteous.” Another wrote, “This particular show should be banned.” One commented, “And seriously, you guys are normalising body shaming on national TV.
