Nadia Afgan is a seasoned Pakistani television actress who has appeared in numerous hit dramas including Shehr e Zaat, Ladoon Mein Pali, Suno Chanda, Kabli Pulao, Kala Doriya, Parizaad, Dushman and Sher. She is currently garnering praise for her phenomenal performance in Jinki Shadi Unki Shadi and Sharpasand.
Recently, Nadia Afgan appeared in Gup Shab, in the show, she opened up about working with Nauman Ijaz and what she keeps in mind while saying yes to the characters. She also opened up about playing Rubi in Sharpasand.
Nadia Afgan said, “Nauman Ijaz is an amazing actor. Whenever he performs with you, he gives such cues that enhance your craft. He also gives space to his co-actors. At the same time, you do feel nervous working with a legend like him because he is that perfect. One can easily say about him, ‘Nauman Ijaz, how can you act this brilliantly?’ He is so good that you feel the need to stay on your toes, yet even then he can say to you, ‘Kid, you’re still a learner.’” Watch here:
Talking about choosing characters, Nadia Afgan said, “It depends on the script and how the character drives the story. I try to choose better roles which are helpful for the people but I don’t think my recent character Rubi will help anyone because it’s an evil or negative role, but our society does have people like Rubi.” Watch here:
