Nadia Afgan has been a part of the industry for many years now and she has established herself as a very talented star of our dramas. She is also very opinionated and does not shy away from saying what she thinks is right. Nadia Afgan recently went through horrible trolling on social media. What happened was that she was in an interview where she said that Yumna Zaidi is an overrated actress according to her. Yumna was going through a Tere Bin high in those days and fans were in a frenzy over her.
In response to her interview, social media users and Yumna Zaidi’s fans were very angry and started trolling Nadia. In an interview with Maliha Rehman, Nadia Afgan opened up about the experience she had. She said that she used to think that she was trolling proof and no one will say anything to her but going through this was horrific. She said that criticism is fine but abusing her and her family and mocking her for her age, face or colour was too much. Nadia though decided to just turn off the comments and let it all blow over. She prayed to Allah to make it all stop.
She also said that she does not understand why actors think they are so privileged that they cannot get criticism. She added that she has never been insecure and if someone does not like her work, she is fine with it. But nowadays the actors cannot even hear criticism and can be arrogant. She also shared that she always says her truth in any interview and she was not trying to be harsh towards anyone.
