Nadia Hussain is a supermodel, actress and businesswoman. She is known for her blunt takes on issues and saying what she feels is right. She has been in the news lately for the scam case her husband has been arrested in and she has been defending him and her family in this whole case. She was a guest on a show podcast @ 5 and she had a lot to share.
Homosexuality has been a much talked about topic globally. Pakistan is also not out of this globe and there have been cases of sodomy specifically that keep coming out in the news. Due to society’s conservativeness and hold of certain factions over law and social development, this is never even openly discussed. Nadia Hussain was asked if homosexulaity exists in showbiz and the fashion industry or not and she had a strong opinion about it.
Nadia Hussain said that just singling out one industry for this is wrong. She is not saying that homosexuality does not exist in showbiz but it is not limited to showbiz. She quoted the question that a girl asked about these cases happening in religious seminaries to Dr Zakir Naik and he had not rightly answered her. She said that she has been hearing about these cases in the Northern Areas of Pakistan for years and they are not only limited to the industry. She added that people also need to open up their minds and understand the situations rather than being judgmental.
