Nadia Jamil is an actress and activist. Her work for the children of Pakistan is commendable and she has been speaking against child abuse and lack of government’s interest in protecting our children for years now. She has always showcased empathy and spoke about how important it is to acknowledge these problems so, things can be done to rectify them. She has once again revealed a dark reality of our society and it is heartbreaking.
Pakistan has been reeling with increasing cases of child abuse and the government has failed to provide necessary protection. A whole ring of child prostitution has been running in the country for years and everyone turns a blind eye to it. Nadia Jamil has openly spoken about truck addas of the country and how young boys are sold as prostitutes. She, heartbreakingly, revealed how these boys are satisfied if they do not have to work in mining as they will be going through even more pain then. Many of these young boys turn to drug abuse to lessen their pain.
Nadia Jamil bravely asked people who are openly speaking against LGBTQ to also call out child abuse and prostitution which is openly happening and no one is there to save these young children.
